They use a pic of Taylor Frankie Paul on the Mormon episode but don’t go into discussions about the bachelorette cancellation. Thanks for wasting my time with religious propaganda

My only question is why the L word doesn’t come up in these convos? It’s an amazing show and there is lots of sex. Maybe people will say it’s messier -which might be because the societal bs is still on the shoulders of women.

  • Eh

I really liked the show when it was the weeds, but since rebranding as Explain it to me, I’ve found it be less intellectually stimulating. As others have said, recent episodes have felt like filler. For me ultimately, the final straw was the way that AI has been talked about in the TWO separate episodes dedicated to it. Considering all the Claude, etc ads, it makes the whole episode feel like a promotion for a product that’s destroying our water supply, stealing our work and ideas, and making it... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How to fight burnout
Q: Is there anything you'd recommend not doing when you're burned out?
Avoid pushing through when capacity is exceeded; instead, acknowledge limits and seek support, and consider practical boundary-setting like not taking on too much at once or pushing back on unreasonable demands.
Can someone explain these prices?
Q: Why do gasoline prices jump so quickly when oil prices rise?
Because refiners and retailers adjust based on the expected cost of future supply and the global dynamics of crude, leading to rapid price increases at the pump, followed by slower declines as inventories in place influence pricing.
You, me, and ADHD
Q: Is ADHD more common in certain populations or genders, and has diagnosis changed over time?
ADHD is increasingly diagnosed in adults and across diverse populations, but prevalence is not clearly rising overall; instead, recognition has improved and access to care has expanded for some groups, while underdiagnosis remains a problem for others, particularly girls and women.
You, me, and ADHD
Q: What is ADHD and what are its core symptoms?
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by inattention, distractibility, and sometimes hyperactivity and impulsivity. Symptoms can be present in different combinations and can be influenced by environment and co-occurring conditions; diagnosis and understanding have evolved to recognize that ADHD persists into adulthood and affects attention, self-regulation, and daily functioning.
No one will save us but ourselves
Q: Where does someone even begin if they want to participate in mutual aid?
People should start by looking for mutual aid groups in their neighborhood or community and join them. If none exist, they should gather resources with neighbors to meet local needs.
