Bait and switch…or something like that. Primary subject is s e x in graphic detail and sound. The penpal theme is secondary.
Unlikeable characters with little development, plot is slow, meandering and ultimately unfulfilling. Lot of predictability and most of each episode is cut-able fluff.
I binged this over a few days and was completely absorbed by it. I’m still thinking about it weeks later. The story’s refreshingly original and goes in completely unexpected directions. Still not sure if it’s sci-fi or speculative fiction or magical realism or romantacy - but whatever genre it is I enjoyed the weirdly juicy journey it took me on.
I *love* shows like this that drop you right into the story and let you figure it out. It’s time-travel-ish and very, very horny. And it sounds amazing. You should listen.
If you like Alex Kemp's other work, you'll be at home here. Exceedingly strange and surreal, superbly acted, and lavishly sound designed. If you aren't already familiar with his style, get ready for one of the most unique AD creators you'll ever find. Truly exceptional work on display here.
