Witchpunk is a dystopian, cyberpunk, science fiction audio drama. 22nd Century America is crumbling from relentless climate change, collapsing supply chains and recurrent pandemics. Brash cities like New New York are built inland from their flooded originals. The Mid-West is militia-controlled as civil war 3.1 plays out, and the South belongs to the extremist Dominion. Corporations struggle for as... more

Found through a link to Green Horizon. First episode is very busy introducing lots of ideas and world building at pace. As it settles down in episode 2 the narrative arc becomes clearer. Exposition dumps help you to navigate the technology and magic systems involved. The chat show interludes start to make sense and link to the action.
None of the tropes are novel to the series and should be familiar to anyone interested in the genre. However the synthesis is clever and the world building has h... more
Clicked on it thinking it was ghost stories but it ended up being a great sci-fi radio show. The voices and sound effects are good. I could imagine all the things going on in the series. I didn’t like the talk show part of the podcast. I get why it’s there, I just didn’t get into that part. Without it though, I would have been lost.
I just started Witchpunk and it's so immersive it instantly sucks you in and is absolutely bingeable right out the gate. I'd happily give it more than five stars if the rating went higher. The best thing I can say is do yourself a favor and find out how incredible it is for yourself, I promise you won't be disappointed. I truly wish that there at the very least was an animated series on Amazon or Netflix the world that they have built I believe would be perfect for it.
The Green Horizon showed me the way here... I like the story and the world that was created looking forward for more! Keep up the great work!
A great cyberpunk show with an interesting world building! Each episode really makes you want more.

A gritty, near-future saga blends cyberpunk tech with witchy mysticism as a semi-legit landship crew navigates a crumbling 22nd-century North America. The cargo they transport is shrouded in mystery and possibly sentient, pushing the crew to confront loyalty, pay, and survival amid rampant corporate warfare, border tensions, and rogue AIs. Across episodes, themes of trust, moral compromise, and leadership under pressure recur, with high-stakes action set against a backdrop of climate collapse, political fragmentation, and a saga that questions what power really is when technology and magic collide. A standout angle is the fusion of hard sci-fi worldbuilding with ritualized, magical elements and a hard-edged, character-driven mission that ke... more
