The VCR Kids

Jay Moore

This is Jay, Erin, and Richard, and we're The VCR Kids! We watch movies from our childhood and see if they still hold up. Every week we take a movie we loved (or maybe just watched) as a child and submit it for review to our adult brains. We also have special episodes on Pretentious Picks, and our Harry Potter Virgin series where we force our friend Andrew to watch all the movies. Subscribe to the... more

  • Play at 1.25 speed

I like the movies they pick. They truly bring back prior memories. Recommend. My recommendation would be to listen at 1.25 speed. The lady drags her speech too much that picking up the play speed makes it more smooth.

Wow the woman seems to fall asleep while talking and like she really doesn‘t want to be there, so why should I. I couldn‘t even get through one episode

  • The negative reviewers

These is suppose to be about nostalgia, but these is just more nitpicking then anything else. Do they actually like anything they watch? Clearly, Erin doesn’t.

Good podcast, my only criticism is how they rush through a lot of the movies. I’m thinking “how can they review a movie that’s over 2 hours in 30-40 minutes?” It’s cause they just skip over half of it. This podcast is a little less detailed oriented but still enjoyable
