  • I wish that I’d found this podcast sooner

This is currently my favourite podcast to listen to. It takes topics that aren’t talked about enough and makes them relatable and much easier to understand. I really wish I’d been taught this sort of thing when I was younger. It’s actually made me interested in how I budget and manage my finances. Thanks girls!

  • Never thought I’d choose to spend time listening to a finance podcast but so glad I did.

I adore this podcast and listen to it every week while I’m doing the grocery shopping. I also have a premium subscription, the playbook, accompanied by these weekly pods have given me the kick up the bum , but most importantly the self-kindness and focus I’ve needed to take control of my finances. It’s empowering !

  • Listen but be careful

Interesting topics explored - however I would not

use their app to manage my money because it is vague what analytics they are

doing behind the scenes and what other kickbacks they receive, hence be cautious believing this is dressed up as just a ‘friendly’ chat. Also the girls discussions often come across as judgmental to listeners dilemmas, they seem unaware of imposing their own bias.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

“Should I Pay Off My High-Interest Loan First — Or Save Instead?” | The Vault Episode 105
Q: If I wanted to contribute an additional 100 pounds a month to that loan, would it make more sense to pay that as an extra payment each month or place it into a high interest savings account?
It is better to pay off the loan directly as it provides psychological benefits and helps you stay focused on your financial goals.
“Should I Sacrifice My Mental Health to Save Money?” | The Vault Episode 101
Q: How would you weigh up financial stability versus mental and emotional well-being in a situation like this?
It's crucial to prioritize mental health, and just because moving home is feasible financially, it doesn't mean it's the right choice for wellbeing.
"Do I Blow Three Months of Savings… or Risk Family Drama?" | The Vault Episode 99
Q: My cousin is getting married this year in the south of France... I feel really torn though. Should I skip it and stay focused on savings or find a way to make it work?
It's important to balance financial responsibilities with family relationships; assess whether attending the wedding is crucial for maintaining family ties. If you decide to go, you might not lose everything financially as you can catch up later, but if it's more important to focus on your savings for your future family, it's valid to prioritize that too.
“We’ve overspent this Christmas” & How to Reset for 2026 | The Vault Episode 96
Q: What's the best move here for handling the overspending during Christmas?
Use savings to cover overspending rather than accumulating debt, and budget carefully going forward.
“Should I Use Child Benefits For My Debts?” | The Vault Episode 95
Q: Should I be including the universal and regional child support money that I get, or continue keeping it separate for nappies nursery fees?
You should put all income at the top of your budget, including child support, to allow you to start building an emergency fund and paying off your debts.
