A review of classic tv through woke lenses. I don’t need political opinions, just review the show.
The Andy Griffith show is my favorite TV show. Because it a wholesome family show. I really enjoy wholesome family shows that have nothing inappropriate. This is a great show to watch with the entire family and has a great values and more for the children to learn and also has great stories for the adults even when I was younger. Don Knotts is one of my favorite actors of all time. I know the show white washes the 60s. And does not show all the issues that are going on at the time. But I think t... more
Great show! I love hearing about the behind the scenes facts
Uninteresting conversation from whiny hosts. Another example why married couples should not have podcasts. You get one perspective with two voices.
It’s OK. It’s not very deep or thoughtful. It’s breezy and fun. The woman is ridiculously woke. 🙄 judging 50 year old shows by modern social standards it’s just foolish.
Based on the lack of new eps, I’m assuming this pod is long defunct. And I can see why. The hosts are clear and speak well, but fail to present any proper info on the ‘show of the week’. It’s a shame. They read lists of cast members, but font reference tv ratings, reason for cancellation, impact on tv future. Oh well.
If you’re woke... this is for you.
Average podcast on classic tv. One glaring problem with the podcast is that the 2 hosts seem to suffer from “white guilt”, which gets to be tiresome quickly.
The snobbery and condescending levels on this show is off the chain. How two middle-aged nothings thought they could host a podcast about beloved TV sitcoms is beyond me. Then bring on their horrible children just makes it worse. Please somebody, anybody who truly loves TV please take over this podcast. Even my dogs could do a better job than these two idiotic self-centered know nothings. By the way, I know all those 5 star reviews are from their family and friends trying to build up the s... more
This is a refreshing podcast about one of my favorite iconic modes of entertainment - television programming.
The husband and wife duo is great, and they compliment one another.
They equally contribute interesting background facts about television shows and the people who bring these programs to our living rooms.
Any podcaster who counts Fawlty Towers and Living Single amongst his or her favorite television programs absolutely has a keen eye for quality small screen entertainment.

I appreciate the work that Hannah and Jeff do but the production leaves a bit to be desired. Shadow leads for Mail Call give the impression of a high school production. Unforgivable was the interview with Ed Asner. A true icon of 20th Century Television and the discussion is cut short because Hannah had to pick her child from school. REALLY.
This is a great idea that needs some more professional polish
Lots of these shows I watched in re-runs or when they were on. I enjoy the analysis that is pragmatic and funny. This is not for folks who have massive backgrounds in acting or the like- but for the rest of us - well worth the listen.
You know that pretentious couple you’ve gone to dinner with who sent back the entree, made a big deal about the inferiority of domestic wine and droned on about themselves?
Well they created a podcast.
They don’t do much in depth or even seem familiar with the old shows. Dearly departed is so
Much better with interesting anecdotes on the actors. These two are reading a script and it’s a bit boring
This has potential to be a great podcast. The hosts have a great idea, but they don’t have passion for it anymore. They should give it to someone who has passion and time.
