“Other Minds and Hands” should be so boring. Can’t quite figure out why it isn’t.
Often an uncontrolled firehose of poorly connected concepts and ideas via a delivery that is not engaging or entertaining. Perhaps the professor should study Tolkien as a story teller?
This is a must for anyone who is interested in Tolkien’s world
I just started listening to Tolkien Professor. Why didn't I discover this sooner? I can see that I have a long road ahead of me to get caught up. But, I am going to savor every bit of it. As the song goes, the Road Goes Ever, Ever On.
The discussion of The Rings of Power is so pretentious and obnoxious. “Didn’t like the show? Well, you must be too dumb or impatient! You obviously don’t know the lore. You need to put in the work!” I at first found entertainment from the mental gymnastics the hosts do to convince themselves that the show is somehow good, but I eventually grew tired of being talked down to.
