I want to start off by saying I don’t think the bias that put me off enough to make me unsubscribe from the patreon is conscious or malicious, which is part of why it’s frustrating. This review is long overdue — longtime listener. Phil, Will and crew are fantastic. Great insights, hot takes and consistent content. Thanks for all the hard work!
The Specialists have been and are still the best survivor podcast around. Super fans talking about survivor and not harping on how it was “back when they played” like some podcasters who have played on the show, is exactly what we needed. They are now big enough that they get amazing guests on to offer unique perspectives but at their roots it’s super fans chatting about survivor which is so much fun to listen to and be apart of.

The Specialists are a must listen podcast if you like Survivor or The Traitors. They have a deep love of Survivor which often times translates to a critical lens of the show. I enjoy how they have a deep knowledge of the history and while I don’t always agree with them, I prefer their fervor to a generic smile at everything. I appreciate that they can be hyperbolic and then will either back it or reassess upon more information. Highly recommend it.
