Mailbags are Our Bag
Q: Have you found a good way to catalog or archive your collections?
Yes, and we're going to be actually doing an episode on that, I think, probably in the upcoming.
Mailbags are Our Bag
Q: What's the most sentimental piece in your collection?
For me, I think it's probably my Conan sword simply because when I started this, I was that was probably number one or two on my list of things that I would love to have that I never thought I was going to have. Not only did I get it, but I managed to track it down in the wild. I think just for that reason.
Mailbags are Our Bag
Q: Have you had to mentally wrestle with the situation of a major wishlist piece coming up for sale via a vendor you didn't respect?
Yes, I just went through this. I'm not going to say with who, but Dave knows. I was just all over the map back and forth and I was really struggling. Ultimately, I did not engage because I wasn't worried about the piece, I was worried about the process. Right. And it spooked me enough that I just didn't get involved.
Deep Dive: The Lightsaber
Q: How many confirmed lightsabers with film use exist in private collections?
There are five, now six, confirmed lightsabers with film use that exist in private collections, as opposed to being lost or in the Lucas archive.
Deep Dive: The Lightsaber
Q: What unique aspects does the Obi-Wan saber encompass?
The Obi-Wan saber is known for its unique and obscure components, including parts from a fragmentation grenade and a Rolls-Royce engine.
