I'm a big fan of Ryan10 and V*ger. The McQuarrie book is good too. I'm not a big fan of "Did you ever noticed this, did you ever notices that" type of humor but this is great prop collecting podcast. The random screaming of "HOW DARE YOU!!!" can be triggering but give it a listen if you are a collector.
Really enjoying this podcast. Probably found it through Dave M. Comic art collection. I collect comic art. Even though I don’t collect movie props, it’s interesting and informative. I have to rewatch a bunch of movies that they discuss. But I will start looking at movie props also. Hope Stanley Kubrick props aren’t too expensive. Love the comments on the state of the studios and political shenanigans.
i had no idea that so much work and thought went into prop collecting, and this podcast talks about the variety of auctions and acquisitions and especially validation of props from the perspective of two people who are both buyers and sellers with from what i can tell fascinating collections that include objects that anyone can identify from films like the original star wars and indiana jones. while i am unlikely to ever buy a very expensive prop myself, ive learned that you can get smaller prop... more
Wherever this fits in, I’m leaving a review of approval for how much I enjoy The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of! Dave & Ryan are great, unless Dave is interrupting Ryan. I don’t know what else to say, I’ll just leave it at that I don’t know what else to say.
Whilst bidding is out of my budget I have to say this is such a fun and entertaining listen. To hear so many of my favourite movies being talked about is such a blast. Ryan and David always bring laughs, great stories and knowledge to the show along with some excellent guests and deep dives along the way. I now watch my 4Ks in a different light. So stop thinking about Prometheus props and get listening!
