  • Thanks

I’m currently in my senior year of undergrad, just started a structural engineering internship and seeing all the work people are doing has been very overwhelming. Listening to this podcast has really helped me stay positive and realize that I don’t have to know everything. There’s some really great information in these episodes.

Episode 91 - Cellular Hybrid

Episode 91 - Cellular Hybrid
Q: Can you tell us about the firm Odace and the projects you focus on?
Kee describes Odace as a firm focused on innovative solutions, primarily working in the private residential sector while also attempting to branch into larger commercial projects.
Episode 90 - Equity and Egagement SE3
Q: What are some of the most surprising findings from the survey or items that our average structural engineers really should be aware of?
We really put together our findings into six buckets. One is recruitment and retention. The second one I would say is career aspirations. Third is discrimination and harassment.
Episode 90 - Equity and Egagement SE3
Q: How would you say, has the survey evolved over the years, and what changes have you made to improve it?
The survey is almost a living, breathing event, more than a document. We put the survey together as a group at NCSEA, and then we bring in a survey consultant who really knows how to make the survey work.
