In this episode, Dr. Chip, Herb, and Clara attempt to convince The Society of Explorers and Gunslingers to help them on their quest.
Herbert, Clara, and Dr. Chip find themselves in the Old West, and must figure out a way to get their mission back on track.
Our heroes are properly introduced to Lord Henry Mystic, who explains to them the story of how he ended up in their era, and why there has been so little progress in their world, but is there anything that can be done about it?
In the first chapter of their adventure, Dr. Chip Whittelsly PHD and mechanic Herbert Lister meet crop duster and aerial tour guide Clara Barnsworth. Their tour of the sky goes awry, and our heroes must seek refuge in a questionable location...
In this introductory chapter, Kevin explains the general structure and rules of The Societies podcast/game/audio drama, before diving into Dan, Alicia, and Rob's character backgrounds.

Kevin Perjurer’s Defunctland is one of the most consistently high-quality YouTube channels I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. This podcast of his, combining theme park history with tabletop roleplaying, has been delightful so far, and I look forward to seeing how it develops.
