By far the best snow industry podcast out there. These guys are incredibly relatable. Listening feels like you’re part of a real conversation you could easily be having within your own company. I’m a weekly listener and always look forward to Monday when the new episode drops.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

S4-169:Meglino Landscaping & Excavation, East Stroudsburg PA
Q: Where do you see Meglino Landscaping & Excavation going in the next five years?
Mike aims to increase efficiencies further, grow a handful of sites gradually, and continue a steady, managed expansion while avoiding overextension.
"Dustings" 2-28: The "Market Reset Winter", and What It Means for Snow Pros!
Q: What should contractors tell property managers about pricing and contracts?
Provide a clear, fair structure with a floor, a cap, rebates tied to snow levels, and optional ad hoc add-ons; show climatology data to set realistic budgets and demonstrate mutual benefit to win renewals.
"Dustings" 2-28: The "Market Reset Winter", and What It Means for Snow Pros!
Q: What drove the industry-wide market reset this winter?
The unusually long, heavy winter created abundant demand and pricing pressure, leading to a rebound in capital spending and a reevaluation of pricing models and contract structures across contractors, dealers, distributors, and OEMs.
S4-166: Highmark Services, Anchorage Alaska!
Q: Matthew, how did you start Highmark Services and what were the early steps?
I started when I was 13 by mowing neighborhoods with a plow-equipped side-by-side and borrowed a truck from my dad. That early setup grew into Highmark Services as I bought more equipment and took on commercial contracts, eventually formalizing into a larger operation.
S4-159: Snow Be Gone, Wanatah Indiana
Q: What lessons have you learned in the early stages of your business?
Patience, understanding costs and overhead, and the importance of doing what you say you're going to do.
