  • You know it’s ski season when episodes start releasing

I’ll listen here and there depending on the guests but the question “how many friends have you lost in the mountains” is inappropriate. It feels unempathetic. Imagine losing a best friend or partner and someone asking you about it nonchalantly. Love to hear more women guests and less questions, more normal conversational flow. It does get me fired up for ski season when the topic and guests and interesting. The doctor that spoke about knee replacements was very helpful.

  • Great stories of skiing

Love the podcast and all of the stories that come out during the conversation. Please please just change one thing with your

questions. Only ask how many days did you skied last year once. You always ask it a second time and it is often within a minute of asking it the first time. It just comes off as scripted and robotic. Otherwise keep up the great job.

  • Format needs to change

The guests on the podcast are great, but the same exact format and list of questions on every episode gets old, quick. It’s unfortunately turned a number of my friends off who used to listen and I end up fast forwarding through a lot of the questions every episode.

We get it, the people you have on here ski a lot, have lost friends in the mountains, have had similar injuries, can do multiple tricks, etc. That’s not what we’re tuning in for, it’s the stories of the guests. If Miles could be mo... more

Q: Was skiing an escape for you or a freedom for you with all the restrictions of the Soviet system?
Of course, it was one of the things that we were doing at the time to get away from the surreal life in the Soviet Union.
Sasha Berkovich – Soviet Era Skier & Adventurer

Show up more on weekdays, buy refreshments at the lodge, and consider making a donation for chairlift replacements.

Q: What does a super busy day look like?
The busiest day we've ever had was 2,800 skier visits, with about 680 cars parked including access road vehicles.
Andrew Gast - General Manager of Mt. Ashland, OR
Q: What does it take to be independent?
A lot, and smaller you are, the more challenging it is, particularly when looking for staffing and ensuring the quality of ski services.
