  • Thankful!!

I just want to give and huge shout out and thanks for all you guys do to bring awareness and solid, accurate information to people regarding bariatrics. As both a primary care nurse practitioner and a bariatric patient (120lbs down thanks to you guys/MDS, 3 years out!), the struggle against misinformation and stigma is tough to overcome(I’m not telling you guys anything you aren’t aware of..). This podcast is such a great resource for encouragement on both a professional and personal level! Than... more

  • Super podcast

Laura and Dr. Roller are so informative and helpful. I started listening and I’m waiting for more. Having surgery in next 5 months. Considering making a trip to Arkansas for my surgery. Thank both for your contributions.

  • Love it!

I haven’t missed an episode! Laura is so inspiring, and Dr Roller is so informative and compassionate. I love the scientific way of discussing obesity as the medical condition that it is, without judgement, shame, or stigma. My only complaint is that the sound quality isn’t the greatest and can be hard to listen to for that reason only. Some new audio equipment would make this podcast 5 stars in my book!

  • Great podcast

This is a great podcast. I had mds surgery in February 2024 and listening to this podcast has taught me so much. Listening to it I realize I’m not alone. That many other people are on the same journey. Many of my post surgery questions have been answered. If you are considering bariatric surgery or have had it, this is a podcast for you!

  • Tried multiple times to keep listening

The host, Laura, is great. I love her story and am thankful for her sharing her journey. She is inspirational. However, the surgeon often makes assertions that I am not sure are medically sound and I have had to stop listening. (Granted, I am a board specialized veterinarian so I don’t do humans but I do have a medical background.)

The most recent episode he says that the Bariatric diet is for everyone. This is clearly untrue. My daughter became anorexic during my weight loss journey and I am s... more
