  • Biased In A Subtle Way.

I have listened to this podcast at least 10 times. What I appreciate about it is that the information is generally good. For example the interview with Steve Cohen was excellent and much more informative than getting bits and pieces of news or rumors about him and how he feels, thinks, etc., about the Mets. What I don’t appreciate is the sometimes subtle and often quite open bias towards the Yankees. It’s not just the information itself, it’s the tone of both hosts when discussing the Yankees ve... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Do The Yankees Need To Add A Bat Other Than Catcher? + A.J. Hinch Addresses Tarik Skubal Trade Rumors
Q: Is Tarik Skubal staying with the Tigers or could he be moved before the deadline?
Hinch reframes it as a strategic decision, acknowledging Skubal's value and the team's need to balance competing priorities, and emphasizes that the organization will consider both keeping him and what they could potentially receive in return depending on how the season unfolds.
Everything Yankees, Mets We're Hearing Ahead Of The Trade Deadline + Fan Questions!
Q: Realistically speaking, who will be the best hitter and the best pitcher dealt on the deadline?
We expect a high-profile hitter to swap teams, with Neto among the top candidates, while pitchers like Detmers, Soriano, and Abrimas (depending on market) will be hot commodities; the discussion centers on who carries the most impact and value in a seller's market.
Are The Yankees In Trouble? + Andy Green On Mets Goals The Rest Of The Season
Q: Is there any possibility that you will remain the manager of the Mets beyond this year?
I expect to return to the front office at the end of the year, though I'm fully committed to guiding the team through the rest of the season and helping the organization find the best long-term leader.
Are The Yankees In Trouble? + Andy Green On Mets Goals The Rest Of The Season
Q: You've got an interim title, and it looks like the team is going where it's going, which is not in a great place, right? Probably going to have to be sellers in the next few weeks, it's going to be an overall disappointing season. What's important to emphasize from here to the finish line to set you up better for 2027 moving forward?
The goal remains to win the baseball game today, but building culture and development are essential. By focusing on daily wins, you create the environment for long-term success and set up players to develop and contribute, which can payoff beyond this season.
Steve Cohen on Mets terrible season, David Stearns & firing of Carlos Mendoza
Q: Is there a risk of breaking up the core, including Lindor and Alonso, to reboot the roster?
Cohen indicates he doesn't see Lindor or Alonso being moved and stresses the importance of building around them while exploring what adjustments may be necessary for the farm system and roster depth.
