  • Best during the Yankee season.

I miss the banter with the old show guys, Michael gets into these rabbit hole social media rants and the callers are unbearable but for Yankee stuff, it’s hard to beat Kay.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 1: Dan Orlovsky and Speedy Claxton
Q: What did you think about Geno Smith's fit for the Jets after the trade?
Orlovsky explained that Geno is a steady, experienced quarterback who can make a team competitive week in and week out, but the long-term impact depends on surrounding support and whether he can sustain performance, with a potential need to pair him with a veteran backup for continuity.
Hour 2: Bruce Pearl
Q: What actually translates to the most success in this tournament for those filling out their brackets?
Pearl says that defense, rebounding, and consistently strong execution in matchups matter most, with teams needing to defend, rebound, and make shots to advance.
Hour 2: Gary Washburn
Q: What are your expectations for Jayson Tatum's impact when he returns?
Tatum's return is expected to provide a meaningful boost, but the key will be how quickly he regains rhythm and how the team manages his minutes to avoid setbacks, while still leveraging his presence to relieve defensive pressure on Jaylen Brown and others.
Hour 1: A Gold Medal
Q: How do you feel about the three-on-three overtime in the Olympic hockey gold medal game?
Michael Kay expresses his disapproval of the three-on-three format in the gold medal game, arguing that it diminishes the traditional elements of hockey and suggests that it should instead be played in standard five-on-five overtime.
Hour 2: Regret and Pete Alonso
Q: What did you think of Darryl Strawberry's comments about Pete Alonso?
I think it's unfair for Darryl to put pressure on Pete Alonso regarding his decision to leave the Mets.
