  • Great energy and banter

The sarcasm and humor on the show can be A1. The camaraderie the guys have mantra the shoe a great listen for starting your morning and getting into your routine. There are days where I want less banter and more sports talk/deep dives. Dave’s sports knowledge is admirable though. I understand why he gets paid to talk sports.

RJ is so annoying on so many levels . I wish the guys would stop giggling at his annoying comments because they aren’t funny . I fast forward SyM and when he talks in general

  • Used to be good

I used to really enjoy listening to this show when Canty was on. After his departure, Dave and Rick turned it into The Voice, where all they want to do is spend half of the show talking about nonsense and their own drama. Rick is annoying AF and acts like a petulant child. If I listen at all anymore, it’s on fast forward on the app.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 4: CP the Fanchise
Q: What was your immediate reaction to the Jalen Brown deal and Mitch Robinson's departure?
The reaction was mixed: Mitch leaving for the Celtics stings because of his development and defensive presence, but the Knicks still retain a strong core and leverage in free agency, suggesting a strategic path rather than a panic reaction.
Best Of: 7/3/26
Q: What was your biggest takeaway from the Steve Cohen interview on the show?
Heyman explains that Cohen's remarks about Stearns' oversight and the five-year plan were nuanced; he highlights how Cohen is balancing accountability with giving Stearns room to reorganize, while acknowledging the ongoing struggles and the need for better performance.
Hour 2: Jon Heyman
Q: What was your biggest takeaway from the Steve Cohen interview?
Heyman highlights Cohen's insistence on oversight of the roster and the idea that there are no guarantees, coupled with a belief that Cohen has faith in Stearns' ability to fix the team, though the two-year performance has been poor.
Hour 1: Is Steve Cohen too honest?
Q: Regarding the Mets, what did Steve Cohen say about the future direction of the team?
He admitted being worried about the Mets' path, highlighted a weakened farm system, and suggested the front office may need to be more creative, which sparked debate about whether this honesty is helpful or harmful.
Hour 3: Knicks preview, Stump Rothenberg
Q: What player holds the longest gap between two NBA Championships, one as a player?
The hosts discuss multiple candidates and eventually settle on a correct choice after debate, showing the playful but competitive nature of the segment.
