Huge fan of the Pod!! Question: Would a Garrett Crochet type deal be enough to pry Hunter Brown away from the Astros? He’s not Skubal or Skenes but who else is? Brown can be the young, controllable ace to pair with McLean at the top of the rotation. Would Sproat, Williams, Reimer, and Santucci be enough to get a deal done?

Hey guys,
I think bringing back Alonso and Diaz, should be opt out, is imperative. This team can’t afford to lose either one. Pete produces runs and Diaz prevents them — a major taking point for David Stearns during his presser last week. Putting on your GM caps, what type of contracts would you dole out here in terms of length and money? Also, you can’t just bring Alonso back. You need another top bat on top of Alonso to add to Lindor and Soto. Who would be your ideal acquisition via free agen... more
You (and the Rico Brogna podcast) are how I stay connected to the fandom and Mets culture even though Ive lived in DC for a decade+. Mets, Jets, Knicks, Islanders……House Democrats…I guess you can say that teams who snatch defeat from the jaws of victory are kind of my jam. My question is on Sproat. What exactly does he do well? McLean has the insane movement, Tong the deceptive fastball with induced VB…Sproat kind of just seems like he’s got a fastball that’s hard but very straight…decent second... more
Absolutely my favorite podcast for any and all Mets fans. Great balanced takes with two excellent hosts that also truly care about the team while always keeping perspective in a way other podcasts do not.
Love the scoreboard they do as well, so speaking on that, I have a suggestion for Connor and Joe and Jeff for next year. While unfortunately this is not a solution for allowing the fans to play along, this would hopefully help if someone falls behind on the scoreboard.
The idea: have a set ... more
Just wanted to take a moment, to take a break from all the frustration and rage and disappointment in this 2025 season, to thank and congratulate the two of you.
For me, and I’m sure MANY others, The Mets Pod has quickly become one of the things that has expanded my knowledge of baseball, the Mets, and has become something that I look forward to just as much as a Juan Soto at bat. Thank you both for the tremendous amount of time and effort you put into this pod. Thank you both for being the vo... more
