  • My New Favorite Mets Podcast

If you’re looking to have your anger stoked, go somewhere else. These two guys are *analysts.* Not just knowledgeable analysts, but fun analysts. This is not only a fun romp through Mets-land every week, but a TRULY informative look at players’ performance and potential. I’d describe it as like having beers with a couple of assistant General Managers. They’re both good, but I’m particularly impressed with James Schiano’s analysis. I think my highest compliment for a podcast is that it’s bo... more

Good evening guys, this is Gavin. It has been a little while since I have left have a review for you guys. I have been pretty disappointed in what I have been seeing with some of the new additions. These guys are not going to get us over the hump. I have a feeling that Jeff is going to get traded. Where do you guys think he is going? I hope they sign Michael King. Would you guys want Ranger Suarez or no? I cannot see them keeping all of the current infielders that they have. At least one or two... more

Mets Breakout Prospects, Carson Benge’s Ceiling, and Full Prospect Report with Matt Eddy | 535
Q: What is the approach to two-way players and why is it becoming more common?
There is increased emphasis on separating roles to maximize development while still acknowledging two-way backgrounds; teams are prioritizing whether pitchers or hitters can realistically contribute, guiding more targeted development paths rather than forcing a single two-way track.

Q: How has the Mets' system grown recently, and is it better now than a year ago despite graduations?
The system is seen as deeper and more stable, with a focus on developing pitcher depth and a culture of continuity, aided by improved instruction and coaching continuity that has helped players progress even as top prospects graduate.

Q: What makes Wenninger fascinating as a development story, and what is his future in the Mets rotation?
Wenninger stands out for his well-rounded development: a strong fastball, solid mound presence, and an ability to adapt and expand his repertoire, suggesting a potential rotation role rather than a pure project, with plausible upside if his secondary pitches catch up.
