  • Wide-ranging topics discussed in depth

    Tim Kail is the perfect host for this show, because he’s so good at unobtrusively opening up space for people to talk about what interests them and what makes them interesting. From illuminated manuscripts to prison abolition to Spinoza, this podcast does a great job of giving people with specialized knowledge a chance to really dig in and talk about what matters to them in detail, and the results are always fascinating.

    I’m a parent of a student starting Fall ‘22. Tim is a fantastic host, has a calm and pleasant voice and is skilled at keeping the conversation going. After listening to the first few episodes, I feel confident about sending my kid to SLC.
