  • It’s called The RPG Cave…

I think this show used to be a lot better in the past. Lately we hear about moving, and Magic cards. Whenever I hear either I turn the episode off. I don’t know what happened, but I thought this was a podcast about rpgs. Guess not.

The RPG Cave 197: Our Fall 2025 Gaming Roadmaps
Q: Which September titles are you prioritizing and why?
The September slate centers on finishing Cyberpunk 2077 after Phantom Liberty, while juggling Hollow Knight Silksong and Expedition 33 as potential immediate plays, with several other titles waiting for later in the year depending on how September's momentum goes.
The RPG Cave 197: Our Fall 2025 Gaming Roadmaps
Q: What does it take for you to drop a role-playing game during a playthrough?
Dropping a game happens when it stops being fun, feels like work, or becomes overly grindy or bloated, and the rest of the lineup offers more engaging options; mood and pace often decide more than length or challenge.
The RPG Cave 192: The RPGs of The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase July 2025
Q: What makes Elliott different from previous isometric HD2D RPGs?
It's the first HD2D action RPG in this style, combining Zelda-like dungeon design with real-time combat and a robust Magisite system for character customization, plus a large roster and town-building elements.
The RPG Cave 199: The Future of Final Fantasy XIV | Borderlands 4
Q: What difficulty are you playing Borderlands 4 on, and would you consider lowering it to finish the final boss more easily?
They reveal they are playing on normal, tried easy, and still found the final boss unfairly punishing due to level-scaling, concluding that increasing accessibility without removing progression would be ideal.
The RPG Cave 196L Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Q: In Expedition 33, how did you feel about the romantic relationships and their implementation?
Romance mechanics felt optional and not deeply integrated; the host describes engaging with campers to build relationships but overall commentary suggested it wasn't central to the story.
