This show has been foundational in helping me re-shape my worldview as an Orthodox convert
Very much enjoying the show. Dr Zachary is a lovely speaker to listen to. It is taking me time to unlearn the modern way of looking at the world but you can only do it one layer at a time. Keep up the good work.
Helps us grasp the multifaceted nature of the last and how today was shaped by all the yesterdays . This is a treasure.
Insightful and so well done. Bless you brother !!
I don’t know what Noi468 is on about…. AFR, please do not heed such “zeal without knowledge.”
Dr Porcu is the best thing to come out of AFR in years! This show and his book are exactly what so many of ‘my type of people’ have been deprived of for too long: Dr Zac understands how to speak to the “spiritual but not religious” and “dark web” folks out there, those who are over the world but don’t yet know of the Church.
Thank you AFR for hosting Dr Zac’s work!

Listeners likely engage with intellectually rigorous discussions at the intersection of Orthodox Christian thought, philosophy, and cultural analysis. Topics span theology, gender and society, pop culture, epistemology, and historical religious movements, often through a critical lens on modern secularity and Enlightenment influences. The host tends to frame ideas around hierarchy, tradition, and the role of religion in culture, sometimes provoking strong feedback from audiences. This mix of scholarship, book promotion, and polemical takes may appeal to listeners who enjoy deep-dive intellectual discourse with a religious and historical orientation, and who value tradition-minded perspectives on contemporary issues.
