I find it tricky to read scripture every day, so this podcast is a blessing. Others have criticized the background music, but I find it helps me to get in the zone. The patristic “footnotes” and Father Alexis’ pastoral commentary are what really set this apart as a phenomenal resource for Orthodox Christians.

My ability to use my vision to read, and much more is damaged. I hungered for scripture, and to understand it as well. Despite the great Orthodox Study Bible, I knew I was missing subtleties. The Spirit knew my hunger and the Lord answered a prayer I didn't know to speak. A PODCAST? I feel a huge burden for not being able to give thanks to God firstly, Father Alexis and his team earlier for all the work you all do. I have heard the scripture reading almost every morning. It has served as an empowering word of encouragement, and tbh an antidote to my anxious thoughts, and remedy to the storm within me.The readings are not too long and the pace of reading is just perfect. God knows how grateful I am. Thank you dearly. Lord have mercy.
