  • Meh.

It’s very clear that the host and many of the guests are new to watching and/or covering the W. This results in a lot of unnecessary comparisons to the men’s league and a lot of bad takes. This is a podcast for someone who isn’t really into the W but maybe wants some talking points to bring up at a dinner party. Also, the host talks in run on sentences, stream of consciousness, answers her own questions within a sentence, cuts herself off…all while there is a guest right there waiting to respond... more

  • Higher standards for your guests

I usually love this podcast. Many of the guests in the past have great basketball insights, as does the host. However, maybe in the future we don’t need random NY Times bestselling authors that’s just a “super fan” of a team. You’re a good podcast focusing on the wnba, why are you inviting people that aren’t actually in the wnba space to be on your show? For every casual fan you invite you chip away at your legitimacy. Could’ve been a five star until your last episode. You went from a serio... more

  • Seerat has the best takes

Love the host, and she’s really grown to be a great host — very natural it’s her guests, not rigid, plays off their takes.

The audio does consistently have issues — last episode just before 45:00.

Portland is using Alex Sarama's constraints-led approach, practicing in socks, avoiding traditional shootarounds, and focusing on situational drills to accelerate player development and create flexible, high-IQ players who can adapt to multiple roles.

Trades, Max'es, and All the Chaos of WNBA Free Agency
Q: Where do you want to start when breaking down the Sparks' recent moves and their win-now approach?
The guest guides the discussion toward the Sparks' core acquisitions (Ogumike, Atkins) and how they fit with Plum and Brink, evaluating whether the core is ready to contend and what gaps remain (especially at point guard and defense).

Q: What do you need from Sarah Strong tonight and how do you balance her development with the team's goals?
The coaches push her to own games and play to her strengths, emphasizing leadership and scoring when necessary, while maintaining a focus on what she can do to elevate teammates—this is about evolving from a cerebral creator to a dominant offensive option when the moment requires it.
