This is a wonderful podcast that encourages me to reflect on my current practice, offers great advice on strengthening my book-writing strategy, and provides lots of practical tips for improving my writing. Plus Jane has such a kind and compassionate approach. I’d strongly recommend this podcast to all academic writers.
While this is specific to book writing, I really could have used this advice while I was still in grad school! Never too late, though. I’m grateful that Jane is giving voice to these issues
I have been hoping Jane would start a podcast for a while, and it does not disappoint! Her advice is clear and to the point (so the episodes are a great length for a commute to campus), and she presents it in a way that makes writing an academic book sound manageable and even enjoyable. I love her encouraging and validating style, and can’t wait to implement some of these strategies in my own work!
