  • Thank you!

Love this podcast. Very informative, very fun. Felt vindicated too, since I’ve been using chorus with depth and rate pushed to near zero, which the guys on this show said is a known “thickening agent”! As soon as I have a need for more gear, I’ll get it from the show sponsors. Thank you, guys!

  • Love the Show!

Have been playing guitar for almost 40 years and listening to the Chairmen helps me embrace newer guitar technology! Don’t want to be the “old man yelling at the clouds” when it comes to modelling tech! Just bought a Nano Cortex and….ya it’s killer:). Maybe not quite a tube amp but damn close!

Grant, Mason and Brian have great tips and really seem to care about the state of guitar today! Keep em’ coming!!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Pedal You Can Buy But NEVER Own
Q: For this pedal, would you guys keep it or delete it?
The consensus was to keep the pedal as it has a place in the market, though they are hopeful for future updates.
Should You Go Wireless?
Q: Where would you say would be the best starting place for somebody that needs to kind of move into that sort of arena?
I think it depends on how many packs you're going to be using and how you're going to be hearing. If you're playing at church or a gig, something simple like a Sennheiser EWG4 for $1100 would be a good choice, and you can find them cheaper on marketplaces.
Nashville Pedalboard Trends
Q: What are the trends that you're noticing in Nashville regarding pedalboards?
Barry discussed the slow acceptance of modeling technology along with the increased necessity for backup systems for live performers.
Is Guitar Retail Dying?
Q: Do you think smaller stores need to have an online presence to survive?
Yes, it's incredibly hard to compete without a YouTube or Instagram channel to attract customers.
The Best Pedalboards of 2025
Q: What is the one pedalboard you're most surprised did not make it onto the list?
Mason mentions Schmidt Array and Temple as notable omissions that should have been considered for their impact on the pedalboard market.
