  • Jim Gherity

I quit following Three Martini Lunch podcast because of Jim but now I’m dropping Ricochet because of the comments about the 25th amendment Jim made.

  • Chicks on the Right is a travesty

Well, as far as boot-licking cheerleading goes, Chicks on the Right is top notch. When it comes to thoughtful analysis and honest discussion, it is a travesty of a dumpster fire. If a person wanted this much persecution complex and nonsensical gibberish, they should go straight to the source of Trump’s own statements.

  • Camel-ah? (WTHGO)

Aug 22, 2024 & conservatives still insist on this. Why do conservatives insist on just being super petty? It’s either that or you’re just very well paid stupid people. Or racist. Is it racism? Whatever it is, you’re petty and small.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Freedom to Learn: Keri Ingraham on Scaling Back Federal Dominance, Union Control, & Bloated Bureaucracy in K-12 Education
Q: Could you summarize the evidence on school choice benefits that you've cited in your writing?
Evidence shows school choice improves academic outcomes for students who exit and those who remain, increases public school quality via competition, raises graduation rates, and yields broader benefits like better character and work readiness.
Freedom to Learn: Keri Ingraham on Scaling Back Federal Dominance, Union Control, & Bloated Bureaucracy in K-12 Education
Q: Let's talk about the Education Freedom Tax Credit. How does it work and why is it significant?
It's a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit for donations to scholarship-granting organizations, enabling families to access education options without draining state budgets; it has broad support and is designed to empower parents while maintaining funding for federal programs.
Freedom to Learn: Keri Ingraham on Scaling Back Federal Dominance, Union Control, & Bloated Bureaucracy in K-12 Education
Q: What's your take on the unions' talking points that the Department of Education must remain intact?
Unions tend to resist returning control to parents and communities; their fear-mongering ignores the broader fact that essential protections remain and that parental empowerment with a leaner federal role can improve outcomes.
Freedom to Learn: Keri Ingraham on Scaling Back Federal Dominance, Union Control, & Bloated Bureaucracy in K-12 Education
Q: You and I were at the signing of that executive order last year. How did you envision returning education to the states at that point?
The vision was to move authority from the federal bureaucracy back to states and local communities, cut bureaucracy, empower parents, and use mechanisms like waivers and block grants to enable state innovations without compromising essential services.
The Ricochet Podcast: Lawless Education
Q: What are the main legal or constitutional implications of current gerrymandering debates?
The hosts and guest discuss how redistricting shapes political power, the challenges of independent commissions, and the enduring reality that politics influences district maps more than technocratic solutions alone.
