  • Unsophisticated and I don’t get it

I read there are five or six countries abroad that prior to the once in a lifetime oil shock that they were near bankruptcy.

If this unprecedented oil shock does not come to an end soon these countries will go bankrupt.

The debt is mostly held by our US banks and we will be looking at 2008 all over again

Will we bail the banks out again or will we break them up?

  • Stick to stocks

Ok so a military guy is on to claim the iran war is a success, the weakening of nato is the european's fault, the objectives have been explicitly stated and achieved. Meanwhile diplomats like andrew david miller are shaking their head. Basically, was no push back from steve. But dont tell me im going beyond the headlines. Really, its just bringing your twitter feed to a podcast.

  • John Spencer - Iran nonsense

Big fan of Steve. That noted, I am shocked by this rollover to Mr. Spencer’s weak analysis.

Iran’s military power to threaten Israel has indeed been temporarily crushed. Their ends our victory.

Iran has a new power - a thumb on the world economy and on that of its neighbors, which is easy to maintain with a few drones and speedboats with rocket launchers.

Russia is benefitting massively from the increased price of their crude n the market.

China is Iran’s only big customer. The opposit... more

  • The Evolving Landscape around Cryptocurrency

The content is substantive and I want to like this, but it is so hard to listen to because Steve just talked over and interrupted the guest repeatedly. I don’t know how the guests don’t just leave or quit talking. Please please don’t take pride in being rude or interrupting people and give your guests the opportunity to actually answer your questions.

Why Energy Stocks Are Down When They Should Be Up with Bob Brackett | The Real Eisman Playbook Ep 60
Q: What parts of the energy complex do you think investors should focus on for potential upside given the current environment?
Investors should look at gas as a core story—upstream gas producers with clean, low-cost supply, and midstream LNG players with carry-through revenue models. You want exposure to entities that benefit from rising gas prices or LNG demand, such as pure-play gas E&Ps and high-quality midstream operators like Chenier, which have pass-through revenue and relatively stable cash flows. Also, ExxonMobil offers a defensive profile with stronger downstream exposure and resilient dividends, which can balance if oil prices remain volatile.
Why Energy Stocks Are Down When They Should Be Up with Bob Brackett | The Real Eisman Playbook Ep 60
Q: This is a broader question to start our discussion: could you give me a two to five minute summation about what the hell is going on in your sector these days?
The energy space remains cyclical with a heavy dependence on macro forces like oil price, geopolitics, and inventory dynamics. We've had a big shock from Iran and the Strait of Hormuz that reduced global supply, yet investors are pricing in a comeback through higher revisions and a higher long-run oil price. Within that context, the majors are proving resilient due to cash flow, stronger balance sheets, and buybacks, while shale-focused growth has moderated due to capital discipline and structural changes post-2014-2016. The key takeaway is that demand and supply dynamics, coupled with forward curves, will shape energy stock performance for the next several years.”,
How Silicon Valley Took Over the Defense Industry with Peter Arment | The Real Eisman Playbook Ep 61
Q: Could you summarize the current state of the defense industry and where the opportunities lie?
The primes remain profitable but are being pressured to move faster and ramp up capabilities through a growing defense-tech ecosystem funded by venture capital and private equity, while upstarts and public incumbents compete for cash flows; the strongest opportunities appear in niche, mission-critical segments like missiles, space, and nuclear-related components, alongside the potential for significant consolidation and strategic spin-outs.
FICO’s Monopoly is Fading & Consumers Are the Winners w/ Kelsey Zhu | The Real Eisman Playbook Ep 59
Q: What is the current pricing landscape for FICO Classic versus Vantage Score and the upcoming 10T?
Pricing consists of a flat-fee model ($10 per pull for FICO on average) and a back-end or 'performance' model with upfront and closing fees; Vantage Score runs around $1 per pull, with different data sources and buyrate. 10T is not yet implemented but is expected to compete against Vantage Score with different pricing dynamics.
Is a Market Melt-Up Coming? Why Tech & Semis Are Dominating Again | The Real Eisman Playbook Ep 58
Q: Todd, what are you seeing in the charts of semis, software, rest of tech?
Todd points to semis as the dominant current weight (around 17% of the S&P), notes software has fallen to the single digits, and emphasizes rotational leadership within tech with semis and AI-driven names leading while software lags.
