  • Good fun!

I am a Canadian Canucks fan living in Japan. Been listening from Japan for the last few years. For a team that has not been doing too well, you guys do a great job of entertaining listeners. I enjoy all of the hockey related content and do not mind a little soccer of NFL, but wish that you could have a separate show for sports other than hockey.

I really enjoy your discussions and your content. The openness of your viewpoints are refreshing. I feel that in today’s world there is too much negat... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Twas the Night Before the Draft
Q: What is the Canucks' approach at three overall according to the guest, and what options do they discuss?
The guest suggests that at three, Caleb Malhotra is the preferred pick, but acknowledges that Chase Reed offers a viable alternative due to his top-pair upside and right-handed defense, while Malhotra brings center depth and long-term potential; there is also consideration of trading down to gather more assets if the price is right.
Welcome to Vancouver, Caroline Harvey!
Q: What have been the biggest surprises in the World Cup so far?
Ben Steiner notes that the 48-team format has not produced many blowouts and highlights tight, competitive matchups across the board, with standout performances and surprising results shaping expectations for future rounds.
Canucks Moving on from Caleb at 3?
Q: What are your thoughts on Brady Tkachuk being traded to Florida and how quickly it happened?
Dave Pagnotta explained that while the timing was surprising, the move made sense for Ottawa to maximize assets within a competitive window and that drafting implications would play out as teams reassess long-term fit and division dynamics.
Swiss Miss for Canada
Q: What stood out most from Canada's performance against Switzerland?
The guests emphasized the absence of Alfonso Davies and Ishmael Kone as significant factors, while also praising Maxime Crippeau's save and the team's overall fight, even as they acknowledged the need for better control in midfield and a more stable shape going forward.
The Canes, NBA Finals, What Are You Ordering?
Q: What is your take on the Knicks' chances in the NBA Finals given their recent form?
The Knicks have a Team of Destiny vibe, a deep, tight-knit group that could ride the wave of their hot streak, but you still have to contend with an incredibly skilled and efficient opponent in a series that will test their depth.
