  • Your show is saving my summer!

Hi guys…I am looking forward to your Saturday edition as all other Canucks podcasts see off that day. There are only 5 of you I can find that keep me up to date on Canucks doings and you are the best of the bunch.

You were discussing the possibility of Canucks games on KissFM radio and I am all for it. I love watching the 4pm games and as I tend to go to bed early I depend on radio for the last period action. I can always watch the highlights next day.

I am concerned about an all sports radio... more

  • Thanks Fellas!

With the “passing” of first 1040 and now 650, this podcast has become my “go to” for all things sports in Vancouver and such. And more importantly, I love the intense debate, intelligent discussion and unique perspectives of each host. Good work, Fellas!

  • Best Sports Talk Duo in Vancouver

Thank god they are back, 650 Sportsnet afternoon show puts me to sleep and others don't compare to Sekeres and Price

Just wish Sekeres wouldn't constantly talk over his guests and co-host.

  • Last time I listen

It’s a shame with this podcast’s ongoing racism and discrimination towards Russians & Russian born hockey players. I tune in to listen about Vancouver Canuck, hockey. I understand that Canada doesn’t have free speech and if they want to be on the radio, they have to walk the pro Ukraine line. You lost a long time listener.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Frank Corrado: Is Zeev Buium the next Canucks superstar? Strengths and weaknesses of the you D's game
Q: Okay. We're going to break it down on both sides of his game here because we got you on the show. What do you want to see from him on the defensive side going forward?
Corrado outlines that Zeev needs to improve at killing plays in his own zone using feet and sticks, leveraging body position and smart angles rather than just physicality, and to adapt his outside game to stay effective against top forwards.
Sept 5, 2026: Zeev Buium extends with the Canucks for 8 years!
Q: What was the rationale behind locking Zeev up for eight years?
Management framed it as a long-term bet on Zeev's development, his proven leadership, and the value of securing a core piece in a rebuild as cap dynamics rise.
Kevin Woodley: His pre-camp chat with Ryan Johnson. And how many games do the Canucks get out of Thatcher Demko this year?
Q: Take us through what you heard from Ryan Johnson on Elias Pettersson and the environment he wants to create for him.
Johnson's stance suggests Pettersson is likely to be with the Canucks at the start of the season, and the organization wants to provide a positive environment that lets him be himself and rediscover the joy of playing, which could support his performance long-term.
Jonah Sigel: Deep dive into the ever-changing sports media landscape.
Q: Could Vancouver sustain a terrestrial sports talk radio presence amid these changes?
There's appetite and audience potential, but success will depend on how content is distributed and monetized, whether through FM/AM, streaming, or new models, and if local talent can compete with national and digital options.
Jonah Sigel: Deep dive into the ever-changing sports media landscape.
Q: What is driving the current changes in ownership and control of sports content in Canada?
The combination of consolidation among major media players and strategic moves around rights, platforms, and distribution is shifting who controls content and how audiences access it, with emphasis on owning the underlying content pipe and broader reach beyond traditional radio.
