I’m not really a Canuck fan, especially with what they have and haven’t done since 94. That being said this show is very entertaining. I listen to Red Wing podcasts and none come close to this show.

Alex Daugherty explains that trades like McCarran and Smith hurt Nashville's present-season capabilities, especially on the penalty kill, and emphasizes the challenge of rebuilding without gutting core units.
March 7th 2026
Q: What grade would you give the Canucks on their deadline moves?
Jamie McLennan suggested a cautious B-level assessment, noting value in Garland and Myers but pointing out that significant pieces like Pederson or DeBrusk require more clarity and that the team is only just starting to shape its future.

Q: What is driving the slow trade market ahead of the deadline?
Friedman explains it's a mix of leverage with centers around TROCHEK and O'Reilly, teams needing to be selective due to cap constraints, and owners waiting to see if players' value holds or improves, with many teams treating the window as a multi-player balancing act rather than a single blockbuster move.
