  • Liberal viewpoints only

Feel free to listen to this show if you are a liberal, if not you better avoid it as the show hosts will berate you with divisive questions and then get mad when you reply with a logical response. These guys are absolute clowns

  • Good Questions! Great Questions!

Has anyone noticed that Mike and Jason ask a lot of great questions on the HalBro Show? Someone should keep a running tally every time they get a “Good/Great Question" comment from the guests.

They’re currently on a “Great Question” heater in January. Brough has asked 7 “Great Questions” and 4 “Good Questions.” Halford has asked 1 “Great Question” and 3 “Good Questions.”

Who will have the highest score by the end of the year? Keep it on the dial and listen to Halford and Brough in the Morning.... more

  • The best way to start the day and live, really

After years of listening it only gets better. The wisdom, the humor, the banter and the commiseration of the experience being a Canucks fan. Somehow they blend the dark and the light with authenticity and the impossible balance of self-deprecation and fierce Canadian hockey passion. Love the dogs, love most of the guests. They never coast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Could The Canucks Pass On Drafting Malhotra?
Q: Do you think Vancouver will draft for need or BPA at number three if Malhotra is available?
Kennedy suggests that drafting for need can backfire and that Vancouver should prioritize the best player available, citing past missteps and the value of talent regardless of position.
Hronek Isn't Going Anywhere
Q: Is Philip Hronik really staying with the Canucks and possibly becoming captain?
Seravalli confirms that Vancouver views Hronik as a core piece and suggests leadership roles like captain could be realistic, reflecting the team's plan to build around him as part of the future.
Hronek Isn't Going Anywhere
Q: What is your take on the price paid by Chicago for Byrom, and how did the league-wide view differ from social media?
Seravalli explains that the price wasn't as high as social media suggested, due to changes in the draft board after San Jose acquired the number nine pick, which altered how teams value a package. He notes Chicago's strategic choice to pivot to Bowen Byrom when Stenberg wasn't available at four, presenting a disciplined, market-aware assessment of the trade.
The Best of Halford and Brough 6/24/26
Q: Why is Kronick seen as both a veteran asset and a potential trade piece in the Canucks' timeline?
Kronick is valued for top-pair defense, leadership, and veteran presence, but teams may pay a high price; the Canucks must balance window timing, cap considerations, and the potential to maximize future value.
The Best of Halford and Brough 6/24/26
Q: What is the likely path for the Vancouver Canucks in this rebuild with Pedersen and Kronick involved?
The Canucks are expected to be sellers in the near term while exploring retention options for Pedersen and potentially keeping Kronick to maintain leadership and on-ice competitiveness, with a long-term view toward acquiring future assets and draft capital.
