  • From 5 stars to 3 stars

Dan left, negative Bik came in. The show is spiraling. Used to be one of my favorites to listen to. Can’t hardly finish an episode anymore. Bik needs to stop talking so much. All he does is whine and complain and bash everyone. It gets old. We know the season sucks. But yeah go ahead and keep pounding that into our heads. Won’t be listening for a while. Hopefully you find a good replacement for Dan…he’s missed.

  • Best hockey show around

These legends of radio for hockey nuts like me, #factsonly that’s their show! And apart from the odd water bottle mishap and mishap with co-hosts names, just a great bit of entertainment

  • Great show!

I especially love Dan Riccios coverage of any and all Canucks Italian relations. Very very very thorough Italian coverage. If you need to know how to pronounce provolone or lasagna. Or even a soccer players name?! He’s got you covered. Don’t know what Sat does. But Italian Dan is great!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Could an Eastern Team Upset + Draft Player Profiles
Q: You've mentioned that this draft class is softer in terms of standout top-end talent and that there could be more malleability with names floating around. How should a team like the Canucks approach their first-round pick given this landscape?
The best approach is to prioritize players with high projectable traits and versatility, especially centers and defensemen who can contribute in multiple roles, while keeping an open mind to players who have clear ceiling but need time to develop. Teams should balance safe, high-floor players with a few high-upside bets who could become impact players with proper development.
The Open: Selling Hope
Q: Should the team lower prices during rebuilding to win back fans?
They acknowledge it would be a benevolent gesture but note market realities and the need to balance profits with fan engagement; price changes alone may not resolve trust issues if on-ice results don't follow.
The Open: Selling Hope
Q: What does the organization mean when they use the word 'breakthrough' and how should fans interpret it?
The hosts discuss that 'breakthrough' is undefined, could imply nearing contending status or development of young players, but there is ambiguity and a risk of over-promising. The takeaway is to read actions over words and watch how they execute plans.
Which Team Could Trade for McDavid?
Q: What would be a realistic trade return for Connor McDavid?
A truly realistic package would have to include top-tier, high-end prospects and multiple high picks, possibly supplemented by established core pieces, but the exact value fluctuates with teams' asset pools and McDavid's no-trade dynamics; the consensus is it would require a centerpiece player plus several premium assets.
In The Booth: Pressure's Still on Petey
Q: How many games will Nikita Tolopilo get down the stretch?
Tolopilo is expected to get roughly four games, with possibilities ranging to five or six if the late-season schedule allows more rest and a better development window; the exact number depends on goaltending needs and waiver considerations.
