This podcast is fun and informative, although if you are watching The Prisoner for the first time, this might not be the ideal order to watch the show in. There is probably no ideal order to watch the shows in, but this also isn’t one. But it’s a great podcast, and the bonus episodes are also great, and provide additional context about the show and Patrick McGoohan.
I am a Prisoner super fan, have probably seen the series 20-30 times through. I am an original TV disciple of Scot Apel from KTEH in the late 1970s -- it's how I was introduced to the show. I even visited Portmeirion 15 years ago, a true joy. I appreciate the lengthy episode discussions, including script notes and speculation on symbolism and other elements of the show. There are some great Prisoner podcasts out there, sadly this isn’t one of them. Almost no research has gone into the planning of this podcast resulting in glaring factual errors and repetition of apocryphal information (the free for all banner is not a danger man still, Jude law did not star in the avengers nor was it shown on the BBC and so on).
