I listen to your pod religiously as it’s one of my many as I call “woman-scapes” where I can contemplate the existence of womanhood on the backdrop of sounds of men fighting at the UFC. Thank you for your existence. 🫶 I love to hear you two work through thought provoking and complicated topics and work them through. Even if / when I don’t agree I think you girls have a unique perspective. You all really hooked me last week with “have faith in your own bad taste” as it’s something I’ve always st... more
Your passion is so beautiful, talking about the loneliness topic. I think that there is some vanity in this type of loneliness, and I say that as someone who is pretty awkward and loves time alone. What made me sad is that people are alone watching Friends and Gilmore Girls - which are shows about having a community, and bothering to have awkward experiences within that community. It’s easier to say that than to do it - but, I want to and I’m inspired to. Thank you for making me laugh every week... more
I’m addicted to this podcast. As someone who doesn’t spend much time on social media, I initially thought Gina & Ione’s conversations would go over my head but actually it’s like listening to two erudite & funny friends talking about the ever shifting cultural zeitgeist. Their analysis is incisive & sometimes profound & while I don’t always agree with everything they say, elsewhere they have shifted my opinion & widened my perspective. Upon obsessively listening to the back catalogue, I have no... more
