Fun podcast, pretty good takes. The hosts antagonize each other a lot which I find distracting, but I appreciate the cultural commentary overall.
What a relief to find these two. Between their love of Poor Things and disdain for Saltburn, I knew I had found my people within my first few episodes. If you’re looking for a podcast discussing the culture everyone else is talking about with much more discernment, thought, and humor, these are the girls for you too.
This podcast is so well researched and always has really nuanced takes that don’t feel like they are just regurgitating what everyone else is saying about pop culture. Love that there’s disagreement and discussion. Poor Things episode was especially good and got me hooked!!
I love the topics, how well they’re researched and I particularly love when Gina and Ione pretend bicker - it’s always funny and very obviously said in jest. I’m ridiculously old to be listening (not even a millennial) but I like the fresh perspectives. It keeps me from falling into a middle aged lady rut! Thank you
I look forward to this podcast every week!! Feels like an extension of the conversations I have with my friends (but with way better research and humour!!). Would make me so sad if you stopped ;(
