  • Not PJ Harvey

I thought it was a bit odd that the first episode was about manifestation. Then I heard the broad Aussie accent which confirmed I should have turned the brightness up on my phone so I can read in the middle of the night. Definitely not PJ Harvey.

tahi Founder Jackie Lee
Q: How has motherhood influenced your brand and your approach to product safety?
Becoming a mom shifted my priority to safety and inclusivity for the whole family, which is why I focus on gentle, effective ingredients and meticulous quality control, often working with New Zealand producers to keep things close to home.
tahi Founder Jackie Lee
Q: How do ritual and routine differ in your approach to skincare?
Ritual is about presence and purpose; it's a moment to ground yourself and calm the nervous system, whereas routine is about productivity and getting tasks done. Ritual is a daily mindfulness practice that supports mental health.
tahi Founder Jackie Lee
Q: What inspired you to create Tahi Skincare and to focus on local, native plants?
I loved the native plants here in New Zealand, started experimenting with them to make my own skincare, and the results led me to formalize a brand that celebrates local ingredients and simple, effective formulas.
It's Ok to Do Less with Dulesé Founder Amelia Jory
Q: Can you tease some of the other products you might be open to doing down the track?
Amelia outlines expanding into a natural body wash and a second fragrance, emphasizing the brand's focus on simplicity, multi-functionality, and staying true to a natural personal care direction rather than adding complexity.

She describes using the confidence, networks, and problem-solving skills gained in roles at Fonterra and Zuru to structure the business, test ideas, and pursue a more modern, disruptive approach to natural personal care.
