  • Such a fun Oklahoma podcast!

I’ve lived here my whole life but I recently discovered this podcast after seeing it mentioned in the Oklahoma travel guide I picked up at the Route 66 Road Fest in Tulsa over the weekend. I LOVE this podcast! I’ve already learned about new events in Oklahoma that I didn’t previously know about and I’m making a list of things to do and places to travel to. I wish I had known about this podcast earlier!! I’ve been recommending it to friends and family, too!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Season 5, Episode 28: Celebrating 100 Years of Cain's Ballroom with Chad Rodgers
Q: Was there a light bulb moment where you realized you could run Cain's?
It was pretty gradual; I had some early shows that did well, which reinforced the belief that we could make it work.
Season 5, Episode 33: Finding the Butterfield with Susan Dragoo
Q: What was it that finally, I guess, obviously the trail or the route, though prominent at time, didn't go on forever. What was it that sort of displaced the need for that?
The Civil War and the establishment of the Transcontinental Railroad were significant factors that led to the route's decline.
Season 5, Episode 33: Finding the Butterfield with Susan Dragoo
Q: What exactly can you tell me just a brief overview of what is the Butterfield Overland Mail Stagecoach route?
It was the first transcontinental stagecoach line initiated to improve mail delivery efficiency to the West Coast.
Season 5, Episode 36: Exploring Expression with OSU Museum of Art
Q: How did you become involved with the museum?
I started as a student and worked my way into various positions at the museum, eventually moving into marketing.
Season 5, Episode 37: People Power with Kindt Myers and The Social Order
Q: How would you evaluate the restaurant scene here right now today in Oklahoma City?
I think the dining scene is robust with many great jobs available and continued innovation in local restaurants.
