Keith- Amazing stuff ! Really appreciate you and the podcast . Been listening for a long time ! One of the few Pods I listen to regularly. Great conversation with Jake from Converge - My all time favorite episode was with Quinn from Love Letter. So incredibly emotional and heartfelt. I am sorry to hear you lost your job - I recently lost mine as well ( 20 years with the same company!!) Also thank you for talking about your sobriety- I know it can be difficult - but always helps more than you wil... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 327: Mikey Kent of Private Hell
Q: How did you approach combining your influences for this new music?
We pulled from Entombed, Amoebics, His Hero Is Gone, 80s hardcore, and other roots to shape a sound that's both harsh and melodic, aiming for a real identity and a potential LP.
Episode 327: Mikey Kent of Private Hell
Q: What happened with your dad, if you don't mind sharing?
My dad died of sepsis, which deeply influenced the writing of Future Void and the themes on the new EP, mixing grief with a search for meaning and hope.
Episode 327: Mikey Kent of Private Hell
Q: There's a lot going on, but Mikey, first I want to ask you, how are you doing today?
I'm doing pretty good, a bit sleepy, juggling being a parent with music and the day-to-day grind, but overall doing well.
Episode 328: Damien Moyal of As Friends Rust / Morning Again / Damien Done
Q: What was your mindset during the early 2000s when bands were gaining bigger audiences, and how did that affect your choices?
I didn't chase fame and often sabotaged directions that leaned toward radio-ready sounds; I valued staying true to the music we loved and not compromising integrity for attention or exposure.
Episode 328: Damien Moyal of As Friends Rust / Morning Again / Damien Done
Q: What led to your departure from As Friends Rust in 2002, and how did that shape your career afterward?
I was burnt out and disagreed with the direction of the band at the time; stepping away allowed me to explore other projects, like Damien Done, and later return to music with a broader, more reflective approach.
