  • Absolutely profound! (Ep. 23)

I love this podcast! I have been looking for this mix of discussions about faith and social Justice. But in this episode it wasn’t abstract! I was so thankful to finally hear someone say what I have been saying about what is happening here in the U.S. It is evil. The thing that I needed even more was how to resist the evil and also to care for ourselves- our spirits - during this time. Thank you so very much!!

Q: What does nonviolence mean for you in the Palestinian context?
Nonviolence is the best option for Palestinians, given trauma, militarization, and the reality that violence often reinforces oppression; it is about resisting with love, service, and solidarity rather than domination.

I was in Mongolia at the time, and I witnessed the buildup of lies about weapons of mass destruction that led to the invasion, which I could not support.
59 With retired US Army Colonel and peace activist Ann Wright: "Make sure you write your Congress before breakfast every day!"
Q: Can you tell me something about that journey and especially why you resigned and so publicly?
I did it because I could no longer support the invasion of Iraq once it became clear through my extensive experience that there were no weapons of mass destruction.
