  • Well produced, engaging, and critical

I’ve been listening to the podcast for the past six months or so. I have immensely enjoyed it and reminds me of my lectures from university. The professorial panel of Charles and Alex is exceptional and brings critical insights as the episodes navigate the period three months at a time.

The guest appearances and deep dives are also interesting and well worth the ‘narrative’ pause. Without these, we wouldn’t get to understand the world of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

  • Depth and Diversity

Found this podcast in 2023. Finally caught up listening to all the episodes today. Alex Stevenson has done a masterful job lining up experts from all over the world to present. As an anglophone, this variety gives perspectives often overlooked from a purely English speaking perspective. No doubt his professorial panel (Charles and Alex M) are a strong help in this. Well done!
