I’ve been a stepmom for 7 years, daughter is almost 14. We added an Us child 3 years ago. She has an additional 3 siblings at bio moms.
Bio mom is toxic, constantly yelling or scolding stepdaughter.
I’ve personally been struggling in my stepmom walk for a few months. Because “that’s my daughter too” and I’m just as protective of her as I am our son. However, I “can’t fix it” or make anything different for her over there because I don’t have a say. She’s not my daughter.

This podcast has been a lifesaver for me. Blending with 6 kids, ages ranging from 3-16… has been incredibly difficult and hard. I felt like I was lost and doing it all wrong and then I found this podcast! Truly a lifesaver for my frame of mind and how I think about blending.
