Hearing someone discuss affordability and brush right over the exact behaviors and lifestyle choices causing a huge contributing factor turned me off to this podcast. You mention one or two things like Starbucks and ignore that it’s a portion of that persons behavior in general with spending is idiotic. If we can’t focus on what we have control over then as a society we are screwed.
I’ve been listening for years and it’s been consistently awesome - 10/10 would recommend for anyone in the trades or anyone wanting to start their own business
This is hands down the best podcast for self employed tradesmen and women to listen to if they want to learn more about how to run a business in the world of construction. MC Monday for a long drive, Midweek MC for the ride to the job, there’s plenty to look forward to each week. MC has it all.
The last mid week of 2024 with Tyler really struck home for me in a few ways.
I have a few years of age on Tyler, but less years in business for myself. And the more I learn about my business, the more consistent and comfortable and confident, I am with my numbers. Especially when I take the time to actually slow down and look at them.
Thanks again to the Modern Craftsman for making me feel less alone as a solo owner/operator.
There are valuable takeaways in every episode and the long format makes it a great listen on long commutes to and from the jobsite. The blend of construction knowledge and business acumen sets this podcast apart from the others I’ve listened to.
