There’s a problem with True Crime. Creators idolize perpetrators, shame victims, or are completely checked out on cases while they focus on other things. However, we can’t forget there are victims who lost their lives and families who are still grieving to this day. Furthermore, many True Crime outlets spend their time focusing on themselves or rambling, instead of getting right to the facts of th... more

I love this podcast. Reminds me of how disgusting people are. Very well researched and I like their voices. But good lord can we talk about how you’re listening to an episode and then all of a sudden it’ll cut to a commercial and the commercial will be louder than the podcast. Not a fan of that as I listen with my AirPods on and it’ll scare me.
Love you guys and this podcast but cutting off the story out of nowhere with ads (Ill timed) is super frustrating 🥸
Honestly, ease up on the adds, it completely ruins your podcast
I listened to them for a while on YouTube, and started on the podcast. This is the first time listening on here and the last time listening anywhere. The amount of ads are insane. In a 30min episode, Madeline Soto, there was an as break at least 10 times. The ads start in the middle of sentences, sometimes in the middle of words. The first after the episode started was within the very first sentence. The breaks also seemed to increase in length. The first was one commercial and at time there wer... more
The commercials are super jarring when I listen to these episodes. I loved the content and delivery in the past but the shift into more ads has been significant.

This show focuses on true crime stories that mainstream media often underreport or handle in ways that gloss over victims and communities. Across recent episodes, the hosts dissect case timelines, court actions, and public discourse, highlighting how media coverage, public policy, and societal reactions shape the narrative around victims, families, and communities. Noteworthy is a consistent emphasis on accountability, safeguarding, and verifying facts, as well as a willingness to explore less-covered angles of complex cases. The format tends to blend detailed storytelling with analysis of broader social implications, making it potentially valuable for listeners who want rigorous factual context and a survivor- and community-centered perspe... more
