I was looking for someone that had talked about this because I accidentally saw the video and was very alarmed. This gave me a new perspective with information about the attacker that I didn’t yet know and I appreciate that new knowledge. I do think most of us Americans are in the middle and realize that the sides are leveraging our “news” against each other… well maybe not most of us but we’re here! Anyways- thank you for digging into this issue, I think some of the exact numbers got a little l... more

  • Balanced approach

Brian does a great job of presenting issues in a way most Americans think about them-from the middle. His presentations are thoughtful, insightful and balanced without extremism or rhetoric. Breath of fresh air in an otherwise media landscape. Great job

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Conversation with Andrew Dunn: Author of Change Agent: Pat McCrory's Rise, Reckoning & Legacy
Q: What was the most surprising thing you learned during your reporting on HB2 and McCrory's role?
That McCrory bore the brunt of public heat for the policy even though the private discussions and public-private positions from corporate leaders and political allies didn't always align, highlighting the complexity of leadership under intense public scrutiny.
Conversation with Nick Sliwinski: Wake Forest Commissioner
Q: What does it take to qualify to even run in the first place?
You need to be at least 21, be a qualified voter inside the town limits, and meet local residency requirements; aside from that, the process involves filing, understanding the local rules, and going through the endorsement or petition process.
Iran: Conversation with Reza Breakstone
Q: What led to the Islamic Revolution in Iran and how did external powers influence it?
External meddling, including a coup in 1953 and Western support for the Shah, destabilized Iran, contributing to a revolution that shifted the country from a Western-aligned monarchy to an Islamic republic.
Conversation with Josh Prizer: Candidate for Holly Springs Town Council
Q: If someone is listening and wants to learn more about you, where can they find you or your campaign?
The campaign website is www.josh4hollysprings.com, and he can also reach him via social channels and email listed on the site.
Conversation with Mike Kondratick: Candidate for Holly Springs Mayor
Q: Why are you running for mayor at this time and what distinguishes your approach from others?
I'm running because Holly Springs is at a pivotal growth moment, and I want to ensure residents' needs guide our growth. My approach centers on strong resident engagement, affordable housing, support for small businesses, and practical improvements in traffic, with the mayor acting as a visible advocate and the council operating with more transparency and public input.
