The reader seems to be trying to combine an English accent with the style of Jame T. Kirk and does a very bad job at both. I am not one that enjoys AI voices reading, but it would be much more enjoyable than the voice in chapter 11.
A well done podcast, the narrator's voice does well in bringing the books to life
Chapter 11 is possibly the worst reading I’ve ever heard from loyal books.
Sadly I can barely follow along as it’s spoken so fast. It’s as if the reader is desperately speeding to complete the book in under 50 minutes which although impressive makes it a very difficult marathon to keep up with the story. Especially the conclusion at the end. I won’t be listening to others if they are put together like this.
It’s a little bit disconcerting for me to listen to Watson speaking as a woman, but the volunteer reader of The Final Chapter has one of the stiffest and most unpleasant voices ever to have graced my earbuds. I’m sorry to be critical, and I certainly don’t have the voice for such work, but perhaps he’d better portray the hamburgler.
