Mc Lars
Lars is an enthusiast in the best sense of the word. His comments are thoughtful. This is a great podcast if you want to get into someone’s head about the things that THEY are into. Learning about new art and new thinkers is what this podcast is really good for.
From the force of nature that brought you the phenomenal Captains of Industry and Mr Raven and Flow like Poe - a podcast exploring ideas and creativity in hip hop. Essential listening for nerds and non-nerds.
Always super interesting. MC Lars is a great podcast!
Only recently found this podcast after being a fan of MC Lars for years. The conversations are really interesting even when the guest is somebody that I’m not already familiar with. Can’t wait to listen to more episodes!
Andrew brought out the best in Pat's life and now in his death. He also brought out the best in this conversation. Thank you, Andrew, for sharing grief with me, Pat's mom
Dear Andrew
Pat’s mom sent me a link to this podcast. For those of us with children – and especially – for those of us with children who have struggled with issues of being different . . . feeling unable to reveal their true selves . . . and more, this podcast sheds a precious light on the multiplicity of our worlds, our lives, our journeys, and our selves. Such a precious gift, summed up by Pat’s mom in this podcast - “They were the children teaching the mother about the son.”

I really enjoyed the interview with Hardcore Punk artist Vinnie Caruana and shows MC Lars depth and knowledge as a musician!! The commentary about MC Lars and Vinnie both at times not sticking to what they are known for and experimenting stylistically was interesting to hear. Also MC Lars does a great job of getting him to open up. A really excellent podcast worth the listen!!
I enjoy listening to MC Lars’ podcast because they are insightful and entertaining! I never thought I would learn so much interesting facts about his guests!
Although I am not familiar with all of his guests, I am always fascinated with what MC Lars has them talk about. From musicians to authors to friends to animators, I love the diverse background of his interviewees!
I always look forward to Monday mornings when I can listen to the newest episode!
M.C. Lars brings his amazing energy and passion to interview creative and interesting guests every week!
While I’ve been a fan of Lars’ music over the years, I hadn’t been keeping up with his creative endeavors. After hearing on PLA that he had a podcast I became a subscriber. Great shows, interesting guests, and you learn something every episode. The shows with his parents make me wish they were mine. :) Keep it up Lars!
Anyone who has seen MC Lars perform knows that he's relentlessly goofy, overwhelmingly positive, and deceptively clever, but here's Lars' big secret: he's also wickedly smart, in a way that can only come from real intellectual curiosity.
That's what makes him a great (if unexpected) podcast host. It doesn't matter if he's talking to his fellow musicians, his parents, or his childhood heroes. Lars is genuinely interested in his subjects' stories. You don't need to be a hip-hop or nerdcore fan (... more
I love the MC LARS interviews! Lars selects such an amazing group of people....all following their creative paths. The conversations are inspiring and heart warming. Thank you Lars. I look forward to Monday mornings.
