  • Heavy handed

Host is a Democrat bashing Republican, which is fine but not in scope of a sex addiction podcast. Shame on you, and shame on your political party.

  • So very thoughtful

This podcast is so very thoughtful and concerned for my trauma. My husband decided to divorce rather than repent. Now I realize his “withdrawal” throughout our 26+ year marriage was all part of the gaslighting as a result of his porn addiction, which he was able to keep completely secret for 22+ years. It has rocked my world to face divorce at 60. As Kristin interviewed Tammy, I felt encouraged that I still have value. My husband’s lies are his reality and not mine. Thank you Kristin!!

  • Grateful

I just listened to Kristin’s interview with Dr. Juli Slattery, and it was so helpful for me, almost as if I had experienced a personal counseling session. There was a big ‘a-ha’ moment during the first half of the episode where it helped me understand some feelings I’d been having in my own recovery journey that I previously misunderstood. I appreciate guests like Dr. Juli who do such a great job educating and normalizing difficult feelings along this complicated and unique path to healing and w... more

Autonomy & Faith: Reclaiming Your Voice Without Rebellion | Part 2 with Anna Seiple
Q: What does it look like to slow down and examine the relationship between autonomy and sin, and how can we reframe autonomy to nourish faith and relationships?
The guest and host discuss distinguishing autonomy from mere willful rebellion, emphasizing that healthy autonomy supports love of God and neighbor, and that power dynamics should enable safe space for authentic voice rather than control.
Autonomy & Faith: Reclaiming Your Voice Without Rebellion | Part 2 with Anna Seiple
Q: This is a tough one. Anna, tell me a little bit more about why this topic is so meaningful to you.
Anna explains that exposure to spiritual trauma and the experience of religious power dynamics led her to explore how autonomy develops in childhood and how its suppression in faith contexts can cause deep harm; she ties this to professional work in counseling and healing.
Surrendered Sexuality: How Knowing Jesus Changes Everything with Dr. Juli Slattery
Q: What practical steps should churches and individuals take when someone reveals a struggle with sexual sin or betrayal?
Respond with affirmation, acknowledge the pain, provide compassionate, trauma-informed care, connect to long-term resources—counseling, support groups, and spiritual mentorship—and avoid quick theological platitudes that invalidate the person's experience.
Surrendered Sexuality: How Knowing Jesus Changes Everything with Dr. Juli Slattery
Q: What does it mean to be a Christian in the context of sexuality and identity?
Being a Christian means living in a covenantal relationship with God, where identity in Christ transforms how one thinks, feels, and acts; true change starts with the heart and the redemptive work of becoming a new creation, not just modifying behavior.
Desire, Differentiation, and the Self We Were Never Allowed to Become - A Conversation with Jay Stringer
Q: So when I look at the five core longings, you call them the five desires, if you will. Intimacy is, most of us think of sex, I know I did. When I heard the word intimacy, I immediately translated sex, right?
Intimacy is about knowing and being known, but it also involves differentiating two real people who come together in a way that allows sex, vulnerability, and life to be shared honestly and fully.
