Have really enjoyed listening to this podcast series. It’s very in-depth and mind-boggling in all the twists and turns. The only thing that I found jarring was the constant Australian mangling of French words. I don’t expect the journalists to sound like native speakers but you can deliver a more anglicised version that doesn’t sound so appalling. (Not French, but speak fluently.). Also, the constant reference to sofas as “lounges” is hilarious and somewhat weird. For NZers, the lounge is the ro... more
Painfully long and drawn out. Completely inane full length interviews are included. Hosts repeat info over and over and over. Daughter repeats same diatribe over and over and over. Interesting story - but could have been crafted into a compelling story in a handful of episodes.
Excellent podcast. Cannot believe I’m just hearing about this. What a story. It’s heartbreaking but very well done
This podcast is the most unbelievable true story I’ve ever heard. Twists and turns galore that had me gasping and exclaiming as the story unfolded. It is a fantastic piece of investigative journalism. Well done to all involved and thoughts and best wishes to all the ladies involved who had the displeasure of being associated with “that man” especially Evelyn and dear Sally. I am sure your mum Marion would be so proud of you as I am sure your husband Chris and family are. To Marion, may you rest ... more
While it’s impressive what they’ve managed to uncover in real time through the podcast, I can’t get over the vile treatment of the real Fernand Remickel given by the journalists. That poor elderly man and his wife were ambushed and harassed by strangers, proven completely innocent by the discovery of Rick Bloom later on but the makers BARELY acknowledge his innocence in one episode and completely brush it off. Absolutely disgraceful and not how real journalists should conduct themselves.
