  • Local man yells at clouds

I found Randy’s podcast while searching for content about SB 79. I was hoping — especially since it has KABC branding — to find a reasoned overview of SB 79 and what the pros and cons of the legislation would be. What I found instead was a snobby and privileged local home owner who doesn’t understand why people would live in apartments, is afraid of tall buildings, and laments that California doesn’t build starter homes in big cities anymore.

The State of California sent me a check for 300 Dollars!
Q: Given the upcoming ballot measure, what should voters consider about BART's finances and governance?
Voters should closely review the material and BART's history, recognize ongoing deficits, and demand concrete reforms in labor costs and governance before approving more funding.

Q: So let's start off with the education portion—where is California's 32nd Congressional District now after redistricting, and what communities does it include?
The district now includes Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, and the West San Fernando Valley from Northridge to Van Nuys, covering a broad stretch of the Valley and coastal areas.
Why is the buying and selling of stolen copper tolerated in Los Angeles?
Q: I'm sure you probably have tons and tons of anecdotes. Can you share with us just generally some of the situations that have happened because of this legislation just in the last few years?
Amie Ichikawa describes how transgender policies in women's prisons have led to safety and rights concerns for incarcerated women, including incidents of violence and inadequate protections; she emphasizes the need for policy reform, better data, and potential federal oversight to safeguard women's housing and safety.
Los Angeles County Lost 50,000 in Population Last Year
Q: Well, Michael, why don't you tell us exactly what's going on in Glendora right now?
Michael Baron explains that a parcel tax is being proposed to fund infrastructure needs, but the structure would tax square footage broadly and perpetually, potentially generating hundreds of millions over 35 years, with significant implications for homeowners and businesses.
