Jon and PJ offer reliably funny and enthusiastic commentary on a series for which they have clear affection. Their dedication to investigating all the corners of GMoz’ JLA epic is matched by their encyclopedic knowledge of the comics scene of the 1990’s, through which they offer insightful context to these amazing stories.
I loved Grant Morrison’s JLA run when it came out and it remains one of my favorite runs of comics ever. Jon and PJ are great and I hope they keep this podcast going even after they’ve covered everything from Morrison’s run.
This podcast is a gift. Its like listening on a conversation with super smart super geeky friends if one was lucky enough to be friends with comic creators. Also made me want to go get the graphic novel version of troll tooth wars as well as dig up my Fighting Fantasy collection.
...but this podcast certainly is!
Two thoroughly amiable fellows (Jon and PJ) are our guides through perhaps one of the greatest comic runs of all time.
The humour and entertaining asides, combined with some really in depth comics knowledge (and evident love for the medium) make for a wonderfully enjoyable time.
I look forward to listening along with each new issue.
The guys are really knowledgeable and really entertaining. A great source of info even for a newbie to the comics world. Can't wait for more episodes!
